Workshops & Conferences

WORKSHOPS

I have the privilege of conducting workshops in many different settings. Orchestra retreats or workshops usually consist of Friday night and Saturday rehearsals, with sometimes a concert on Saturday afternoon or a worship service concert Sunday evening.

Along with conducting the orchestra in playing my arrangements as well as many others, we cover matters of tone, intonation, balance, and following the conductor. We also weave in topics of discussion vital to instrumental music ministry.

Topics include:
Volunteer, or Called of God?
Minister or Performer?
Ideas on Worship - Suggestions how to worship as a church instrumentalist
Biblical qualifications of a servant of God
Prayer for motivation, recruiting, etc.

Some recent workshops include:
Directed the orchestra for music Week at Ridgecrest, June, 2005
Orchestra Workshop in Lenexa, KS, October, 2006
Directed ACSI Honor Band in Sacramento, CA, October, 2006
